Job summary

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking a Surgical Tech Intern to join our team. This paid internship places Intern I in Sterile Processing and Intern II in the OR, under the supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist.

You will learn Aspirus standards, sterile technique, and patient care procedures. Applicants must be enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program and obtain BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Students currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students; Intern II - 2nd year students.
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist.
• Collaborate with the precepting Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff.
• Intern I will work in Sterile Processing; Intern II will work in the OR.
• Adhere to Aspirus standards of practice, policies and sterile technique.

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital & Clinics is seeking SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST INTERN to join our team!

The Surgical Tech Intern works under the direct supervision of a precepting Surgical Technologist. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the precepting Surgical Technologist to provide a safe, efficient environment for the surgical patient and staff by working in accordance with the Aspirus standards of practice and by adhering to Aspirus policies, procedures, universal precautions, and sterile technique.

ELIGIBILITY:

• Students who are currently enrolled in a Surgical Technologist program.
• Surgical Tech Intern I - 1st year students
• Surgical Tech Intern II - 2nd year student
• Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Surgical Tech Intern I will work in Sterile Processing.
• Sterile Tech Intern II will work in the OR.

HOURS:

Flexible, occasional status; will work with student hours.

PAY RATE:

Intern I: $16.00/Hour, Intern II: $17.00/Hour
