Qualifications

• Completed an accredited surgical technologies program with certification no later than the appointment.
• Training through US armed forces, National Guard, or Public Health Service may apply.
• Surgical technologist certification or competency proof is required or expected.
• Active CST certification and continuing education requirements as per Tennessee rules.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in line with policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care.
• Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safe and adequate manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
