Job summary

UMMC is seeking a Surgical Tech I-PRN-Colony Park North to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team. You will ensure equipment is sterilized, functioning, and readily available, while maintaining infection control standards and patient comfort.

The role supports the Ambulatory Surgery Colony Park site with a focus on safety and efficiency. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Team-oriented with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory of sterile surgical equipment and supplies per standards.
• Sets up the operating room, maintains sterile field and handles instruments.
• Assesses instrument and supply needs for procedures and ensures availability.
• Ensures proper functioning of instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Follows infection control policies and OSHA guidelines to ensure safety.
• Demonstrates exceptional customer service.
• Duties may change at any time.
