Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams. You will prepare for procedures, pass instruments, and anticipate needs during surgeries, joining a dedicated pediatric health system.

Responsibilities include orienting new staff to the scrubbing role, flexible scheduling, and maintaining professionalism to uphold the hospital’s positive image while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Tech Associates degree program.
• Current CPR certification - BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• Ability to rotate shifts and work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures and assists surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractor and anticipating needs during surgical procedures.
• Assists with orientation of new personnel to the scrubbing role.
• Ability to rotate shifts and / or work flexible hours to meet patient care needs.
• Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact effectively with interdisciplinary health team members and consumers.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time for up to 85% of work time, and lift and move large pieces of equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
• The ability to represent the organization and serve consumers in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the organization and its services.
