Job summary

Community Hospital North in Oklahoma City, OK is hiring a Full Time Surgical Tech to join a dedicated surgical team. The role supports sterile technique, instrument handling, and collaboration with RNs to ensure patient safety and efficient operating room workflow.

Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma and ideally a surgical technology program, with BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision, the Surgical Tech performs the scrub role and maintains a safe sterile environment which includes preparing, passing, holding, inserting, removing, cleaning and assembly of instruments, equipment and supplies; counting sponges, needles, sharps and instruments; and assists the RN with delegated circulating duties, transporting, positioning, skin preps and specimen preparation in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Is responsible for performing the scrub role and assist with all aspects of the care of the surgical patient according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Ability to take direction from others and follow through in a concise manner, which also promotes efficiency.
• Ability to communicate using written, verbal, non-verbal skills when interacting with staff, physicians and ancillary departments.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Application of sterile and aseptic techniques.
