Job summary

Mercy St. Louis Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist First Assistant to support surgeons in the Main Operating Room. The STFA assists with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative tasks to help ensure safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• Successful completion of STFA program and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, and closure.
• Support team in the operating room and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with nurses and other team members during procedures.
