Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Dalton, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist in the surgical suite and support the registered nurse in patient care under supervision. You will demonstrate aseptic technique, manage instrumentation and supplies, and ensure age-appropriate care for patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CPR certification, and basic typing and computer skills. Prior related experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or certified equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist Degree program.
• Licensure: CPR required.
• Experience: Prior experience in same or similar position is desirable.
• Skills: Manual dexterity to handle OR instruments; knowledge of medical terminology; ability to provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Basic typing and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical technologist duties for surgical cases and assists the registered nurse in caring for the surgical patient with supervision at all times.
• Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation, supplies and equipment.
• Provides care appropriate to the age of the patient being served.
• Maintains sterile field and helps ensure patient safety during procedures.
