Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team in northwest Georgia and southeast Tennessee. You will assist with sterile techniques, instrument handling, and collaboration with the registered nurse to care for patients across age groups.

Requires high school diploma, CPR, and enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technologist program with first semester completed. Prior related experience is desirable; medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or certified equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist Degree program and have completed the 1st semester.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in same or similar position desirable.
• Background in medical field preferred.
• Manual dexterity to handle OR instruments.
• Ability to obtain and interpret information for age-appropriate patient care.
• Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies for patient age.
• Basic typing and computer skills.
• Telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical technologist duties for surgical cases.
• Assist nurse in caring for surgical patients under supervision.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and knowledge of instrumentation and supplies.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
