Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo seeks a Surgical Tech prepared in technical surgical skills to actively participate in the care of the surgical patient. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will attend to the patient's direct care needs and perform tasks as delegated by the RN. You will work in partnership with a RN; not assume an independent assignment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a surgical technologist program with certification exam eligibility — certification preferred.
• Two years surgical technology experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.

• Prepare in technical surgical skills and actively participate in care of the surgical patient.

Position: Surgical Tech

Position Summary: A person prepared in technical surgical skills who actively participates in the care of the surgical patient. • Is in the service of the federal government, to the extent the person is performing duties related to that service
