Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to support complex procedures in a fast-paced operating room. The ideal candidate will scrub, gown, and glove the surgical team, prepare sterile instruments, and maintain patient safety under the surgeon’s direct supervision.
Requirements include a minimum of 3 years of experience, NBSTSA certification, and a certificate or diploma from a trade/technical school.

Description:The surgical technologist works under the direct supervision of a surgeon.They facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.The technologist is responsible for ensuring the operating room environment is safe.They ensure the equipment functions properly.They conduct the operative procedure under conditions that maximize patient safety.The technologist handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.They have an understanding of the procedure being performed.They anticipate the needs of the surgeon.Duties include checking supplies and equipment needed for a procedure.They scrub, gown, and glove themselves, the surgeon, and assistants.They perform appropriate counts with the circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.They assist in draping the sterile field.They pass instruments to the surgeon during the procedure.They maintain the highest standard of sterile technique.They assist with terminal cleaning of the room.They clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.They assist in prepping the surgical suite for the next patient.The technologist is also responsible for working with new employees and students.They help train them in the role of the scrub technologist.The scrub technologist is not permitted to function in the circulating nurse role or first assistant role.They are restricted from administering medications and completing patient records.
