Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in Palm Harbor, FL. This role supports a busy ambulatory surgery center with a focus on Ortho, Pain Management, Spine, and Podiatry. Expect M-F hours, no call, no nights, no weekends, no holidays, with cross-training to SPD.

The ideal candidate has a CST, strong instrument handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting while maintaining patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements and related experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification preferred.
• Documentation of current BLS certification; prior CST experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

M-F hours are varied, no call, no nights, no weekends, no Holidays. Busy 3 room ASC that specializes in Ortho, Pain Management, Spine, and Podiatry. Experience of at least 1 year is required, must have Total Joint experience. Will be cross trained to SPD. BLS required prior to start date.
