Job summary

SCA Health in Palm Harbor, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a busy ASC focusing on Orthopedics, Pain Management, Spine, and Podiatry. At least 1 year of CST experience is preferred. Cross-training to SPD and BLS certification are required.

As a CST you will scrub during procedures, prepare instruments, assist with room turnover, and perform other duties as assigned. A High School diploma and CST credentials are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized Surgical Technologist program.
• Prior CST experience preferred.
• Current CST certification preferred and BLS documentation.

Responsibilities

• Function as scrub person during operative and invasive procedures.
• Prepare and transport surgical instruments; assist decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning and room turnover for subsequent patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgical team.

Responsibilities

M-F hours are varied, no call, no nights, no weekends, no Holidays. Busy 3 room ASC that specializes in Ortho, Pain Management, Spine, and Podiatry. Experience of at least 1 year is required, must have Total Joint experience. Will be cross trained to SPD. BLS required prior to start date.

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Responsibilities:

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Prior Experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Documentation of current BLS certification.
