Corewell Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room by preparing the surgical suite, handling instruments intraoperatively, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures.
The role emphasizes knowledge of surgical procedures, attention to case costing, and collaboration with surgeons. A certified Surgical Technologist with an accredited program and BLS certification is preferred; preceptorship may be offered.
The Surgical Technologist maintains responsibility for preparation of the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, making appropriate responses as needed. Is responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and principles related to those procedures. May serve as a preceptor.
