Job summary

North Central Surgical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our surgical team. Under RN supervision, you will set up sterile fields, assist with instrumentation, and help ensure efficient OR operations.

Requirements include CST certification and BLS, with at least one year of OR CST experience. Preferred experience in Total Joint, Spine, or Arthroscopy and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
• CST certification is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• One year of Total Joint, Complex Spine, and Arthroscopy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and maintains a sterile field for surgical procedures under RN supervision.
• Applies knowledge of asepsis and instruments used in the Operating Room.
• Organizes instruments, equipment and supplies for easy access and efficiency.
• Participates in rotational call system to ensure continuous patient services.
• Follows guidelines for sterile field setup and instrument preparation.
• Maintains knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
• Re-stocks Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
• Assists circulating nurse with physician preference cards.

We are currently looking for a full time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, sets up and maintains a sterile field for minor and major surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.
• Applies knowledge of specialized instruments, equipment, and supplies utilized in the Operating Room.
• Organizes instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency.
• Participates in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.
• Follows appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge of procedures performed in the Operating Room.
• Re-stocks Operating Room supplies as caseload permits.
• Assists circulating nurse in maintenance of physician preference cards.

Required Skills:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of previous Operating Room CST experience is required.
