Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join its Surgical Services team. The role supports seven operating rooms across orthopedics, trauma, spine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, urology, and robotic procedures.

Expect a Monday–Friday day shift with one weeknight and one weekend on-call per month. Requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, BLS, and relevant OR experience; SRNA/EMT preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist course.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) certification.
• SRNA or EMT certification preferred.
• 3–4 years of surgical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Establish and maintain a sterile field while following infection-control and safety standards.
• Anticipate surgeons' needs and provide instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping within scope of practice.
• Perform accurate surgical counts and handle specimens appropriately.
• Maintain an organized operating room and complete room turnover between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and other surgical team members.
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety and efficient surgical care.

Position Overview Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join its collaborative Surgical Services team. The hospital's seven operating rooms support a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, trauma, spine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, urology, and robotic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Establish and maintain a sterile field while following infection-control and safety standards.

• Must live within 30 minutes of the facility during on-call hours.
