Must-Have Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED - must be verified prior to submission
- 0-6 months of related experience

Position Summary
The Surgical Supply Technician is responsible for procuring, maintaining, and delivering supplies needed for surgical cases in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This position works closely with Surgery, Instrumentation Systems, Supply & Distribution, and other healthcare staff to ensure necessary supplies are available and ready for procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Request, receive, locate, and deliver needed surgical supplies
- Use handheld devices to order, restock, and maintain surgery and anesthesia inventory
- Maintain required PAR levels on the carousel and supply carts
- Monitor case carts and supplies for each surgical case
- Check case carts against preference cards for completeness
- Identify and order missing items before procedures
- Notify clinical staff when needed supplies are unavailable
- Operate carousel systems, handheld computers, personal computers, and other inventory equipment
- Clean supply carts and bins according to assigned schedules
- Coordinate the return of unused supplies and instrumentation
- Remove unused or overstocked supplies from carts and storage areas
- Return unused items to their proper storage locations
- Rotate stock when returning or replenishing inventory
- Communicate concerns related to packaging, handling, or aseptic technique
- Attend required in-services and educational activities
- Follow established department procedures and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Surgical Services Resources Manager
