Job summary

Oral Surgery Partners seeks a dedicated Surgical Instrument Technician to ensure instruments and work areas are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and ready for procedures, while upholding OSHA safety standards and supporting clinical staff for high-quality patient care.

In this fast-paced role, you will operate autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners, assemble trays, manage supplies, and maintain infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in dental/medical sterile processing preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA and infection control protocols.
• Experience with sterilization equipment and tray assembly.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, packaging, and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, and reprocessing equipment.
• Monitor sterilization cycles and maintain logs for compliance and traceability.
• Inspect instruments for proper function and report damage or unsafe equipment.
• Assemble, organize, and prepare surgical trays and materials for procedures.
• Maintain infection control and PPE compliance across the work area.
• Support clinical staff during procedures and ensure proper instrument flow.
• Maintain inventory of instruments and supplies; notify leadership when stock is low.
