Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center is seeking a DDC Scope/Scrub Sterile Technician to ensure sterilization and storage of instruments and supplies throughout the hospital. The role requires knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and equipment maintenance, with potential cross-training in scrub duties.

The technician will assemble instruments, restock supplies, assist in various surgical cases, and adhere to department policies while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Formación

• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in Central Sterile preferred.
• Must know fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, microbiology, techniques and maintenance of equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Process, sterilize, and store supplies and equipment used throughout the hospital.
• Assemble and sterilize instrument trays and ensure 100% readiness.
• Restock supplies and return equipment to proper storage area as needed.
• Assist in elective, urgent, and emergent cases and support patient transport and preparation.
• Maintain and update instrument tray contents and stay compliant with department policies.
