Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Stepdown unit to provide comprehensive post-surgical care and close monitoring of patients.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, administer medications, manage wounds and drains, and support safe discharge planning. Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state.
• Experience in post-surgical or step-down care preferred.
• Strong assessment and wound management skills.
• Ability to educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex post-surgical care on the Surgical Stepdown unit.
• Closely monitor vital signs and telemetry.
• Administer medications and manage wounds and drains.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff.
• Educate patients and families and support safe discharge.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
