Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Stepdown unit to provide complex post-surgical care, monitor patients, administer medications, and manage wounds and drains.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and support safe discharge within a compassionate, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license and be eligible to practice.
• Experience with post-surgical care and telemetry preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and families about care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex post-surgical nursing care on the Surgical Stepdown unit.
• Closely monitor vital signs and telemetry; administer medications.
• Manage wounds and drains and coordinate with the care team for safe discharge.
