Arnett Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative team and support OR operations across two locations. The role offers 12-hour shifts (7:00 am–7:00 pm) with a weekend call rotation and a sign‑on bonus for qualifying candidates.

You will assist in preparing and turning over the operating room, support surgeons and OR staff, and ensure sterile technique and proper equipment handling throughout procedures.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist within four months of employment.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Ability to resource advanced technology and equipment.
• Maintain 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment to anticipate surgeon needs.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in preparation and turnover of the operating room before and after procedures.
• Support the surgeon, anesthesiologists and OR staff during operations while following professional standards.
• Ensure proper handling and routing of specimens, equipment and supplies to maintain sterile field.

This is a full time position working 3 12's, 7:00am-7:00pm with a weekend call rotation. Sign on bonus available to qualifying candidates!

Surgical Skilled Technologists provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assists in ensuring the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment, supplies and instrumentation in the operating room prior to each operation. Provides assistance to the surgeon in the operating room as allowed by professional and legal standards. Assists in the turnover of the operating room after the procedure ensuring proper routing and/or processing of all specimens, equipment, instrumentation and supplies. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel.

• Requires a High School Diploma/GED.
• Requires certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist obtained from the NBSTSA within four months of employment.
• Requires Basic Life Support Certification.
• Requires the ability to resource advanced technology.
• Requires 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law.
• Requires knowledge of various surgical procedures in order to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and to recognize the problems encountered by the surgeon within 12 months of employment.
• Requires knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Requires strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field.
