Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring a dedicated Surgical Technologist in Manchester, Kentucky to support the operating room team. This full-time, day shift role requires preparing supplies, maintaining the sterile field, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

You will contribute to patient safety and efficiency in the perioperative setting. Applicants should have a Surgical Technology program credential and validate skills; BLS certification is typical, with path to career development within a

• Must have knowledge and skills to provide care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Interpersonal skills required.
• Completion of validation skills required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup required.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques required.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.

Job Description:
