Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Full-time Night shift to support the assigned unit with patient care, documentation, and teamwork.

We value a Florida RN license and BLS certification, with 1+ year of critical care experience preferred. You will participate in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique and help maintain unit records and reports.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Florida.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ year RN experience in critical care or relevant specialty preferred.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all cases scheduled and add-on cases.
• Assists with performance appraisals, corrective actions, and counseling.
• Provides required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner.
• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers in person or on the telephone.
• Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
• Participates in hourly rounding using the AIDET technique to improve patient outcomes.
• Incorporates Caring Model behaviors and culturally competent care into daily practice.
• Monitors staff compliance with customer service behaviors and reinforce hospital goals for service management.
• Adheres to organizational standards for dress and professional appearance.
• Collaborates and demonstrates teamwork in managing patient flow, promoting timely patient placement by following hospital policy for admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Assists the Nurse Leader or designee with updates and maintenance of unit records, reports, and forms.

Job Description:
