Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY seeks a compassionate RN for Surgical Services. This full-time, 1st shift role provides direct patient care, coordinates admissions, transfers and discharges, and supports patient and family education on a busy unit with 10 operating rooms.

The ideal candidate holds a Kentucky RN license, a BSN or ADN from an accredited program, and current BLS. ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia training are required by the department.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Kentucky.
• Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP and dysrhythmia training as required by the department.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with rounds, assessments and treatments.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges on the unit.
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care planning.
• Support a compassionate, evidence-based nursing practice environment.
