Job summary

Baptist Health in Corbin, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse for Outpatient Surgery on the 1st shift. This full-time RN delivers comprehensive perioperative care across preop, intraop, and PACU, ensuring safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessment, intraoperative circulating nurse duties, postoperative recovery and discharge education, with collaboration among surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the care team.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Kentucky RN license or Kentucky work permit.
No experience required.
perioperative, critical care, or emergency department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preoperative assessments and develop plans of care.
Provide circulating, perioperative, and PACU nursing care.
Coordinate discharge planning and patient education.
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
