Job summary

AllianceHealth Durant is seeking an RN Circulator for our Surgery Services Department in Durant, OK. This full-time role supports perioperative care, pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing activities, and collaborates with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

The RN will scrub in for surgeries, monitor vitals, administer medications, and participate in code/CPR activities as needed. A strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state licensure or compact)
• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred per department guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects
• Assist during surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Educate patients and families about care plans and post-discharge instructions
• Support infection control protocols and safety standards
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record
• Engage in performance improvement and continuing education
• Monitor and operate essential equipment (IV pumps, monitors, ventilators) as needed
• Prepare and assist with OR, PACU, and cardiac surgery support tasks
