Our mission at TDS is to save lives through organ and tissue donation, and we want professionals on our team that will embrace this important work!! Tennessee Donor Services is seeking a Surgical Services Manager to join our team! This position will assist in the day-to-day management and coordination of organ recovery activities. The Surgical Services Manager will be responsible for the oversight of surgical related activities related to the allocation, distribution, surgical removal, and preservation of organs recovered for research and/or transplantation, coordinate the call schedule to ensure adequate staffing, provide oversight for all aspects of orientation and ongoing training of staff regarding preservation by collaborating with clinical training department for the development, implementation, and delivery of didactic training of recovery policies and procedures, and provide daily supervision and support to the Surgical Recovery coordinators.
This role provides direct leadership and oversight for all surgical recovery in the Tennessee Donor Services service area. Provides direct oversight of employee performance and participates in the evaluation process as needed and ensures that recovery practices are aligned with all regulatory practices, and that policies, procedures, and local processes are adhered to. Some travel and on-call duties are required.
