Job summary

Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, NM seeks a Director of Surgical Services. The RN leader will develop, implement, and evaluate perioperative processes to ensure safe, cost-effective patient care and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate care, manage staff and budgets, and represent GRMC within the community. The role requires extensive perioperative nursing experience and management skills, with NM RN licensure and preferred CNOR.

Qualifications

• 5+ years perioperative nursing experience
• 3+ years nursing management experience preferred
• Current New Mexico RN license
• BSN preferred
• CNOR preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, evaluate and improve perioperative processes for patient surgical services.
• Coordinate patient care and safety activities in Surgical Services.
• Manage department routines, staff and budgets.
• Serve as a liaison between medical and nursing staff and GRMC leadership.
• Provide orientation and ongoing education to nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
