Job summary

USPI St. Joseph's Outpatient Surgery Center is hiring a Full Time Surgical Tech to join a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The Surgical Technologist scrubs for procedures, maintains a sterile field, and prepares supplies and equipment, contributing to high-quality patient care.

The role requires validated surgical tech training, state/center certification, and experience with Endoscopy; ambulatory center experience is preferred. USPI emphasizes teamwork and adherence to aseptic techniques.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with Surgical Technician program.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Experience in Endoscopy procedures.
• Preferred: previous ambulatory surgery center experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Teamwork and communication to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Required Skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Experience in working Endoscopy procedures
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
