Surgical/Scrub tech assembles supplies, maintains sterile field, passes instruments, and assists in room preparation.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED plus graduation from an accredited Scrub Technologist program or 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist.
• Ability to follow oral instructions, read, and write.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years surgical/scrub experience at an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center.

Additional Information:

Employees must be fitted for and capable of donning PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Responsibilities:

• Assembles supplies, maintains sterile field, passes instruments, assists in preparation.
• Ensures availability of instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepares Operating Rooms for cases and the next day’s cases.
• Ensures instruments are cleaned and transported per policy.
• Exhibits knowledge of OR equipment, including maintenance and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
