A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician to join its Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surgical instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing essential support during procedures. Candidates must possess a high school diploma and have graduated from an accredited program, alongside solid communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Must be a Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
Must have One (1)year of previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Technologist.
Excellent communication skills
Strong work ethics, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of previous experience as a Surgical Scrub Technologist with current BLS.
Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).

Responsibilities:
Ensures that the room has been prepared for the upcoming cases, with appropriate equipment available and ready for use.
Ensures that the instruments are cleaned arranged and transported to the soiled utility room according to department policy.
Assists with instrument reprocessing tasks when assigned cases are completed and time permits; Ensures that the operating rooms are case-ready for the following day’s cases.
Admits and discharges patients, ensure front desk logs and phone books are maintained, and manage infant security system alarms as needed.
Sets up rooms in preparation for new admissions, ensure ante-rooms and patient rooms are stocked and complete other duties as assigned.
Participates in continuing education by completing the required staff development hours annually and in professional/institutional advancement of self and co-workers.
May perform other duties as assigned.
