Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler II to join our Elmhurst, IL team. This full-time role supports the operating room, same-day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB by scheduling procedures and handling physician orders.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with compensation that reflects expertise and experience. A high school diploma and at least one year in surgery scheduling are required, with medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High school level of communication and/or math skills.
• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in Surgery Scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework preferred.
• Must be able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures for the operating room, same-day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB.
• Take telephone orders from physicians for procedures.
• Enter scheduling information into computer system and generate daily reports.
• Distributes reports to appropriate departments.
