AdventHealth Parker, CO is seeking an experienced Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to join our patient-centered team. You will schedule surgeries, gather demographics and insurance details, and coordinate with physicians and office staff to minimize delays and callbacks.

You will handle add-on cases, communicate across departments, and maintain accurate records in the scheduling system. A high school diploma and 3+ years in healthcare scheduling are required, with preference for EHR experience and

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to document accurately and concisely.

• Obtains necessary scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events with minimal call transfers or callbacks.
• Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff using the method designated by the facility.
• Calls designated departments with information for add-on cases if patients are not yet admitted to the hospital and prepares and sends reservations for each case scheduled within established timeframes.
• Responds to multiple inquiries from telephone, intercom, and direct communication regarding scheduling of surgery and the main operating room suite.

Job Description
