Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Frisco is seeking a Surgical Registered Nurse to care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. You will guide non-licensed staff and support a surgical team across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements: RN license in Texas, BLS, and at least one year of OR experience. You must work independently, communicate tactfully, and follow hospital policies in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum one year of OR experience.
• Current Texas RN license required.
• BLS required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians and employees.
• Knowledge of OR policies and procedures.
• Clinical proficiency in operating room nursing for pediatric through geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for nursing activities related to care of patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
• Act as a resource person and guide non-licensed personnel in the OR.
