Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Frisco is seeking a Surgical Registered Nurse to care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. You will guide non-licensed staff and support a surgical team across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Requirements: RN license in Texas, BLS, and at least one year of OR experience. You must work independently, communicate tactfully, and follow hospital policies in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license required.

Job description

This position has a $15,000 Sign-on bonus.

A Surgical Registered Nurse is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. The Registered Nurse is a resource person and guides non-licensed personnel. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including older adults, as well as geriatric and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum one year of previous OR experience required
• A current Texas License as a Registered Nurse is required
• BLS required
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurses.
• Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
