Job summary

Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the General Surgery/Bariatric Unit. You will provide professional nursing care per physician orders, within established policies, and support a 28-bed unit focused on general, vascular, urology, colorectal, and plastics patients.

The role requires BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma, NC RN license, BLS, and at least 24 months of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current NC RN licensure; eligibility for Compact if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• 24 months of appropriate clinical experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing process and patient-care standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist other healthcare personnel in delivering patient care and maintaining environment of care.
• Prioritize work and identify resources to complete care promptly.
• Engage in professional development and support staff learning and performance improvement.
