Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Registered Nurse for the 42-bed Surgical Unit. The RN provides skilled nursing care in a telemetry-monitored setting across multiple specialties, including general and specialty surgeries.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
• All Direct Care RN’s required to have BLS within 90 days of hire
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire
• New Graduate Nurses Welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process and standards of practice
• Perform assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Coordinate care, patient education, and health promotion with the care team
