Job summary

UT Health Pittsburg is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgery RN to provide nursing care before and during surgical procedures. You will apply the nursing process to plan, direct, and evaluate patient care for a defined group of patients.

Requirements include an ADN, an active Texas RN license, and BLS (ACLS preferred). Prior operating room experience is desirable, and the role offers opportunities for career growth and professional development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) is required.
• Must hold currently active Texas RN license.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to direct patient care.
• Preferred: ACLS certification and prior operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients before and during a surgical procedure.
