Job Summary:

The Surgical RN will provide safe and effective care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care. The RN will assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.

• Participate in surgical procedures as needed, acting as a first assistant when necessary
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are prepared and organized prior to surgery
• Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care
• Document patient care and surgical procedures in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards
  
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in applicable state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and patient care practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
