Qualifications

• Active RN license with current BLS and ACLS.
• 3+ years in surgical units or operating rooms.
• Proficient with EMR/EHR systems (Epic or Cerner).
• Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic technique.
• Skilled in IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and tube feeding.
• Experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is a plus.
• Excellent assessment and communication across diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative assessments and educate patients on procedures.
• Maintain sterile fields and assist in operative setups.
• Monitor vitals during surgery and anesthesia, respond to deviations.
• Safely administer medications, including IV infusions and sedation.
• Oversee postoperative care: pain, wound care, and complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and therapists.
• Document nursing activities in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Educate patients on postoperative care and recovery expectations.
• Support dialysis access management and long-term care planning.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, trauma protocols.
