Job summary

Hunter Oral & Implant Surgery in Columbia, TN is seeking a skilled Registered Dental Assistant to support our oral surgeon in a fast-paced specialty practice. You will assist with surgical prep, chairside support, sterilization, and patient care to ensure comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate is CPR certified, detail-oriented, and organized, with a steady team approach. Travel between locations may be required; state certification/renewals must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification and/or license renewals as required by the state.
• Must be CPR Certified.
• Dexterity and manual skills required for handling surgical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment before, during, and after procedures.
• Escort each patient to the operatory in a timely manner.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during and after treatment.
• Assist in preparing patients for surgery and help monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels.
• Confirm patient medical history and update as needed.
• Explain the treatment to the patient and ensure understanding.
• Assist the oral surgeon by passing instruments and providing materials during surgery.
• Document patient information and surgical details in the EHR.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up.
• Stock all operatory and sterilization areas.
• Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
