Springfield Clinic is seeking a Surgical Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and assist physicians with imaging factors. You will operate C-Arm, obtain diagnostic radiographs, and ensure ALARA-compliant practice in Ambulatory Surgery, Pain Clinic and Diagnostic Radiology.
The role requires graduation from a JRCERT-approved radiology program, ARRT registration, IEMA licensure, and CPR within 30 days of hire; flexibility to cover varying shifts and strong patient-care skills
The Surgical Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic procedures by the application of ionizing radiation to produce radiographic images under a variety of conditions, and assisting physicians as required with the selection of practical applications and technical factors.
Reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Operations Manager
Must be a graduate of a JRCERT approved school of Radiology, and provide proof of current active certification with the ARRT.
Must maintain current active registration with the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography.
Must maintain current active licensure in Radiology with IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency-Division of Nuclear Safety).
CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines required within 30 days of hire.
Will be exposed to conditions including exposure to blood and body fluids, tissue, contagious diseases and/or potentially hazardous materials.
