Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment, including c-arm and ERCP systems, to produce diagnostic images under physician direction.

You will prepare patients, position them for procedures, and ensure image quality while following ALARA principles. The role involves supporting PACS/teleradiology and mentoring students as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's or certification from an accredited School of Radiology.
• ARRT radiography certification within 60 days.
• 1-3 years related experience in surgery (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for exposure; positions patients for procedures.
• Determines exposure parameters and uses ALARA to protect patients.
• Operates c-arm equipment to obtain quality images for surgeons.
• Coordinates surgery schedules to provide radiology support.
• Performs clerical duties for PACS and teleradiology tasks.
• Takes x-ray images in other hospital areas with portable equipment.
