Job summary

Avera Health at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiologic equipment and produce diagnostic images under physician direction.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or radiology certification from an accredited program.
• ARRT radiography certification within 60 days of hire.
• 1–3 years of related surgical radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and position for procedures with physicians to obtain optimal images.
• Apply ALARA; adjust voltage, shielding, and exposure time.
• Operate C-arm to provide quality intraoperative images.
• Coordinate surgery schedules to ensure radiology service.
• Perform in-house PACS tasks and portable X-ray imaging.
• Train and mentor students in Radiologic Technology.
• Produce high-quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Assist with records and regulatory compliance as required.
