Alteva RCM is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to manage the authorization process for surgical cases across multiple surgeons and healthcare clients. You will prepare, submit, track, and follow up on requests, ensuring timely authorizations before service dates.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases across providers. Proficiency with payer portals, EHR/EMR systems, and accurate case documentation is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with prior authorizations, insurance verification, or medical office operations.
• Familiarity with CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, payer guidelines, and medical terminology.

• Prepare and submit prior authorization requests for surgical procedures and related services.
• Review case information to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate before submission.
• Verify CPT codes, diagnosis codes, payer requirements, and authorization criteria.

• Follow up with insurance companies to check authorization status and resolve issues.
• Track all submitted cases and maintain accurate case notes.
• Communicate case status, approvals, denials, and requests for information to client practices.
