Job summary

Care New England Health System seeks a surgical physician assistant to join an inpatient practice serving Kent Hospital (primarily) and Women & Infants Hospital in Warwick/Providence, RI. The role involves OR assisting, inpatient management, admissions, discharges, and daily rounding with potential for bedside procedures.

Shifts are structured as three 12-hour blocks (6a–6p, 6p–6a) with rotating weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 coverage; OR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• OR assisting experience preferred.
• Inpatient management duties including admissions and rounding.

Responsibilities

• OR assisting and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults, and rounding.
• Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound VAC changes and I&D of abscesses.
• Rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend/holiday coverage for 24/7 care.
