Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon during surgical procedures as first assistant.
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations preoperatively.

• Coordinate patient care across preoperative and postoperative periods.
• Provide counseling on preventive care and postoperative instructions.
• Mentor or precept new physician assistants.
• Support quality initiatives and research within the department.
