Montefiore Health System seeks a Surgical Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive medical care in the OB/GYN department. Responsibilities include patient assessments, surgical assistance, and post-operative care coordination. Surgical Physician Assistant will provide medical services within the education, training, and experience of the surgical physician assistant, delegated by the supervising Chief PA and Medical PA Director for Women’s Health OBGYN.
Medical services rendered by physician assistants may include, but are not limited to, obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, writing progress notes, procedure notes, and monthly care plans, ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring therapeutic interventions, offering counseling and education, and making referrals. In emergencies, Physician Assistants are authorized to treat any medical condition or perform any surgical procedures at the hospital for affiliates, defined as situations where delay would cause serious harm or immediate threat to life, and a qualified practitioner is not available.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 7am - 4:30pm; one day 7am - 4pm
Tuesday: 6:30am - 4pm
