Qualifications

• 3–6 years surgical gross experience.
• Must meet all requirements per SOP and CLIA regulations.
• NAACLS Pathologist Assistant training program (Required).
• AAPA Fellowship status and/or PA (ASCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the Lab Assistants in the Surgical Pathology area and other staff.
• Schedule and maintain coverage; manage attendance and overtime.
• Ensure department policies meet state and federal regulations.
• Provide training and competency assessments for grossing staff.
• Oversee budget planning and equipment needs; monitor expenses.
