Job summary

Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, seeks a Surgical Pathologist to join the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The candidate will sign out general surgical pathology cases and contribute to teaching and scholarly activities within an academic medical center.

Applicants should have an MD or MD/PhD, be board-certified/eligible in AP (or AP/CP with subspecialty fellowship training), and be eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.

Job Description

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a position in anatomic pathology. Candidates should have a medical degree (MD or MD/PhD, or the equivalent) be board-certified/eligible in AP, or AP/CP with proper subspecialty fellowship training, preferably in GU, Gyn/breast, pulmonary or head-and-neck pathology. The candidate should be eligible for a Louisiana Medical License. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Duties will include sign-out of general surgical pathology cases, and teaching for medical students, residents, and fellows. Research activities will include any scholastic activities that pertain to the applicant's clinical and/or academic interests. Service responsibilities will include serving on Departmental and/or University committees when needed.
